And what better way for me to start it? The day off from work, watching the B's play hockey at Fenway Park! The Winter Classic 2010 was pretty cool...and here are some of my highlights:
~ B's head coach Claude Julien wearing his retro Bruins leather varsity jacket & a fedora a la Herb Brooks.
~ Singing Sweet Caroline at the midway part of the third period (you gotta be a Sox fan to understand.)
~When the fans FINALLY came alive in the third period.
~ The third period Boston goal...beautiful!!! The teamwork, Rec as the tipster, just when I was pleading for some scoring....perfect!!!
~ Thomas's somersaults in net a minute & a half into OT...I'm pretty sure he went full rotation, head-over-heels.
~ Can you say first fight in Winter Classic history? Screw class, it's the B's & the Flyers...what do you expect???
~ I giggled every time I saw one of the guys with the eye black...are you all playing in the Pats game this weekend??
